Final Push Through the Tetons I | 2025.05.30

As we were at the end of the calendar month we had dedicated to Wyoming, May, and were nearing our anticipated arrival date in Montana, we decided it was time to begin our trams-Teton voyage north. The aim was to be in Montana by the first of June. We had plenty of time to make that jump but if we wanted to spend quality time in the Tetons, the sooner we embarked, the more time we’d have.

I’d aborted a previous attempt to launch a cross-park expedition when I realized we hadn’t made a stop at the Mormon Barn for pictures, which in the direction we would be traveling would’ve been at the head of the journey. I also wanted to find a good perspective of the trademark facade of the range to shoot some video. So we’d returned to Jackson from that earlier visit to restart the journey across the park and on to Montana.

So the 30th was the first of what would be our last two days in Grand Teton National Park for the foreseeable future, a bittersweet experience as I was grateful to be back here at all and sorry to be leaving. As such, everything was extra-spectacular; the light in the facets of the mountains, the sunsets, the stars at night.
